On the shores of Lake Garda, the Balsamo Group had the honor of hosting one of the most distinguished delegations in the Italian American world.
The Board of the National Italian American Foundation — the leading organization representing over 20 million Americans of Italian origin — chose Lombardy as its honor region for 2026. The week-long stay between Milan and Lake Garda was organized in collaboration with Balsamo, which provided premium mobility services for the delegation throughout the visit.
The centerpiece of the program was the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera, today one of the most visited house museums in the world. The delegation was welcomed by President Giordano Bruno Guerri, who guided the group through a site that stands as one of the most powerful symbols of Italian identity, literature, and culture on the global stage.
For Pietro Trapletti, President of the Balsamo Group, the choice of the Vittoriale as the backdrop for the visit carried a deeper meaning: "A place that embodies the values of culture, vision, and Italian identity — values that have shaped my journey and the growth of Balsamo, now present on the international stage. Promoting Italian heritage means championing entrepreneurial courage and the ability to bring great projects to life, always keeping people at the center."
The event received extensive coverage across national and local media — from Italpress to Libero Quotidiano, from MSN to Garda Post — reflecting the significance of an initiative that weaves together enterprise, cultural diplomacy, and Italian identity into a single, meaningful gesture.
For Balsamo, accompanying the NIAF throughout this Lombardy week meant far more than a transportation service: it was a confirmation of a positioning that goes well beyond mobility — toward a genuine presence at the defining moments of Italian cultural and institutional life.
