Balsamo, VIP transport grows in USA with Mac
On February 15, the authoritative Italian newspaper Milano Finanza wrote about us, announcing the acquisition by Balsamo of 100% of Mobility Angel Corporation.
This operation, which follows the acquisition of Parimob at the end of 2024, represents a new strategic step in our growth path, confirming us as increasingly protagonists in the global panorama of high added value mobility, strengthening our international presence. Balsamo is not only expanding in Europe, but is supporting its Customers everywhere in the world, consolidating its organizational and strategic structure.
Here is the text of the article published in Milano Finanza on February 15, 2025 (written by Nicola Carosielli)
The last mission was on Thursday 13th in Sanremo, allowing Duran Duran to return to the Ariston stage after 40 years with the iconic Wild Boys. However, woe betide anyone who relegates the Balsamo group, with its heart in Casazza (Bergamo) but an international network with 25 million in revenues and 700 collaborators worldwide, a company active in the Chauffeur Service business. «Our company deals with high added value mobility management, offering important tailor-made services that put the customer's needs at the center».
In short, almost to say: in this market, anyone can make a luxury car available, but what makes the difference are the people and the obsessive attention to the needs of VIPs and stars of the caliber of Madonna, U2, Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, Guns N'Roses or giants like Eni, Enel, Leonardo, Hugo Boss, Chanel, LVMH, Fendi. The speaker is Pietro Trapletti, born in 1984, who founded Balsamo in 2006, inheriting the business from his father, who passed away in 2002.
A different size from the current one, which consisted of a fleet of four minivans that operated in Milan. The true legacy from his father, explains Trapletti, is entrepreneurial intuition: «From the very beginning I tried to create a business model focused on excellent services, high quality and listening to customers».
«We sell a complex service», adds Trapletti, «because it has to do with security, communication and in some cases even ceremonial needs». And so, over time, the group began to grow, particularly tying itself to the fashion segment - the one that has the greatest impact on turnover - up to entertainment and music, supporting icons on their world tours.
The path is accompanied by the expansion of the company beyond the province of Bergamo, first arriving in Rome, where in 2017 it created MTM which deals with institutional and diplomatic relations with activities in Europe, Asta and Oceania, and then in Paris and New York. The latest operation arrived in the USA, with the acquisition of 100% of the New York group Mobility Angel Corporation (Mac) also active in Canada and Latin America, with which Balsamo had begun to collaborate in 2020, thus allowing the company to further consolidate its presence in the area. The theme of collaboration is fundamental in the group's external growth strategy:
«All the acquired companies are companies with which we already collaborated», specifies Trapletti, underlining the importance that in-depth knowledge of the target company plays in the sector. Knowledge that can only come from direct collaboration. This was the case for the deal on the French Parimob, at the end of 2024. And it will also be the case for the next operations that, always following the fashion and luxury segment, should land Balsamo between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
